At the end of another nerve-wrecking day
The chaos around me will fade in the dark.
Night shall come, and it shall stay
Till the first ray of light will eventually mark
A new day that's coming, but now I don't mind
‘Coz soon we'll leave this one behind.
At night I'm embraced by this force I can't see,
But I know it's there ‘coz it's forcing me
To forget all about life momentarily.
I see the sun being chased by the stars
While I'm thinking a lot, about nothing I guess.
Does heaven exist, is there life on Mars?
Till all of a sudden I'm relieved of all stress.
I feel the night's like an entity
Which smothers me with serenity.
At night I'm embraced by this force I can't see,
But I know it's there ‘coz it's forcing me
To forget all about life momentarily.
It's three o'clock in the dead of night;
The stars and me are the only ones here.
It seems all life by now has died,
But still I feel something else is near.
It's the force I can't put my finger on
But I revel in it, ‘coz soon it'll be gone.
