Dancing on the Wind

Terug naar de index
I remember summer when you were full and blooming,
Sun shone through your head, birds were busy grooming.
Now the days are darkening, your hair is turning brown,
Change your lovely green dress for a snowy gown.

In lush warm days of summer, you provided shade,
Where couples found a shelter, love was softly made.
But now the lights are waning, warmth that people seek.
Drop your shiny chestnuts, days are turning bleak.

Release your precious leaves,
Give up your seeds and grieves.
Let Aeolus send his breath,
Dancing on the wind.

Just let them flow away,
On this stormy day.
Your leaves will be like spirits,
Dancing on the wind.

Hang on through the dark nights, time moves oh so slow,
Now that you are dressed in icicles and snow.
Your leaves will be returning, crown no longer thinned,
Butterflies will be again, dancing on the wind.

Release your precious leaves,
Give up your seeds and grieves.
Let Aeolus send his breath,
Dancing on the wind.

Just let them flow away,
On this stormy day.
Your leaves will be like spirits,
Dancing on the wind. (Dancing on the wind)
