White Lady

Terug naar de index
In Blenkinsopp there lived a lady
Born in a place far-away
Married to Bryan but maybe
He loved her in a strange way

He’s greedy for gold and for money
And that’s why he wanted a mate
With a gold laden chest so heavy
No ten men could carry the weight

She’s haunting the rooms of her castle
Sobbing while everyone sleeps
She’s waiting for someone who loves her
And not just the gold that she keeps

Hiding her gold from her husband
She was left for good one dark day
And since then she’s only seen crying
Waiting till love comes her way.

Still walking the halls of her castle
This dusky skinned lady in white
Guarding her treasure for ages
Until she’s released from her plight

She’s haunting the rooms of her castle
Sobbing while everyone sleeps
She’s waiting for someone who loves her
And not just the gold that she keeps

White Lady, White Lady,
White Lady, White Lady.
